Eliza Marshall, Bansuri

Eliza's career has been as diverse as her musical tastes. She has worked as a freelancer with many major orchestras including BBC Concert Orchestra, The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, The Philharmonia, London Mozart Players, London Sinfonietta, Royal Ballet Sinfonia, and Britten Sinfonia – touring with the latter around India in 2014 in collaboration with sarod guru Amjad Ali Khan.
Commercial work has involved performing as principal flute on numerous film scores and albums – artists include Stevie Wonder, Paul McCartney, Robbie Williams and Peter Gabriel, and on soundtracks such as The Lord Of The Rings, Kung Fu Panda, The Great Gatsby, Sherlock Holmes with composers Hans Zimmer, Ennio Morricone, Howard Shaw to name a few. Tours with Peter Gabriel have taken Eliza all over Europe, North and South America. She regularly records as a soloist on flutes, ethnic flutes and whistles for films and television – heard on the likes of Hidden Kingdoms, The Musketeers, Robin Hood and Prometheus.
No stranger to the West End, Eliza first performed in The Phantom Of The Opera in 2007, and since then has depped for Les Miserables, Miss Saigon, Oliver, The Lord Of The Rings; she was thrilled to be appointed the flute chair at The Lyceum Theatre for The Lion King early in 2015.
